Assured Care News Letter

January 2013

Welcome to our January Newsletter. We hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year.

Staff

Carer of the Month

Each month we recognise one member of staff for their hard work, commitment and dedication to the service users and to the company. By way of this we give that staff member a certificate and small gift to say thank you. We would very much like to hear from anyone with their nomination for this month, November and December and future carer of the month.

Staff

We would like to welcome Sue, Tracy and Amanda who started over christmas Some of you may have already met them but for those of you that have not they have been out and about.

We would also like to welcome back Emma after being on maternity leave but sorry to say good bye to Jess as she will not be returning once her maternity leave finishes, we all wish her all the best for the future.

6 Monthly Questionnaires

We would like to thank all the service users and or relatives that have already returned their 6 month and life history questionnaire that was sent out in September. The next one will be sent out in April. The information that’s provided helps to improve quality care provided to all our service users and gives the staff a better knowledge and understanding of the service users they care for as your comments and views are valuable to an ever growing service. The analysis has been attached to this issue for you to read.

We cannot fault the service we receive from June, Janet and Jackie. They are lovely people

All praises have been passed on to staff

They are always smiling, willing, helpful in every way which gives me a boost, I feel better for seeing them.

Michelle, Paul, Janet and Liz are very good and do their job very well.

As mentioned before beryl has proven to be an excellent sitter for my mother, she shows an interest in her, if I ask her to give her hot food she does it and beryl over comes any problem on her own. We feel that Beryl is very passionate about the people she carers for and we appreciate the kindness she shows our mother.

It is very important to me knowing that my husband is well looked after whilst I am having my sitting service. Thank you very much

Friendly, supportive, Angela is a big help in assisting with anything that causes me stress. If she is not sure of an issue she will ask the office. I am very pleased that the office gives me Angela every time. I feel that she understands what I am going through and helps me constantly feel better about my situation

All my carers are good and have a sense of humour

I only have sitting service. All sitters are punctual and very nice people

We are fully satisfied with the service we receive; it enables my husband to have some respite from his role. Also to complete household admin and shopping freely.

The cleaning is not always carried out twice a week. The bathroom is not always cleaned and the bins not always emptied.

They always ask the latest update on my husband’s condition and show a caring attitude that feels like they are not just doing a job.

No complaints

Learn that there are different types of disabilities, not everybody receives the same care, benefits etc.

Carers could benefit from training in how to shave someone
