Assured Care Newsletter

Spring 2021

Spring greetings to you all. The evenings and mornings are getting lighter and the spring flowers are starting to bloom. How beautiful. Welcome to our spring 2021 newsletter.

Thank you to all who have completed and returned our survey. The aim of our survey is to capture anything we need to do to support you and our service. We ask you to be open and honest with your replies, and if you would like to follow up with a discussion from a manager please do get in touch.

We understand that you sometimes have a change in carer and you are not always made aware of this. We apologise for the delay in informing you and we hope this will improve going forward. Due to GDPR we cannot always tell you why a CSW can no longer visit you. We ask politely that you do not engage with the team in discussing other staff members as this can be quite damaging to the team members.

Easing restrictions

Good news of the restrictions is easing slowly but we must continue to follow the rules. The team must continue to wash their hands and all touch points around your home. They will keep their distance where they can. If you have questions or concerns regarding the restrictions please do get in touch.

Easter is just around the corner and we know you like to give staff a little boost of an egg or something at Easter time. We cannot accept any gifts no matter how small. We ask that you do not try to give them anything as they do not wish to offend you when having to say no.

Online reviews and Feedback

Feedback to us is always useful. We love to receive compliments and pass them on to the staff, it really makes their day. If you think there is some where we can improve our service, please get in touch and let us know. We are more than happy to listen to your views and improve our service. Your feedback makes all the difference. We have enclosed some compliments slips for you, along with some prepaid envelopes to return them in. It would be wonderful to hear some of your feedback.

You can also review us online. You can find us on CQC, NHS (remember we are registered as The Portsmouth Sitting Service and Community Care Services Ltd), Healthwatch Portsmouth and Google.

On Call/out of hours/ emergency services

Our normal office hours are 8:30-17:00 Monday to Friday. Outside of these hours Assured Care operates an emergency 24-hour messaging service.  These messages are checked regularly by the office member on-call. Anything that is not an emergency will be dealt with the following working day.

As a company, we are trying to be responsible and do our bit for the planet. We prefer to send communications via email. If you have an email, or a family member wishes to receive any communication on your behalf via email, please let us know. You can email us and we will update our records.
